About EMT careers at KQT:

Job stability. The demand for ambulance transportation never stops. The need for EMS providers is huge and KQT has plenty of opportunities available to you. As the largest family owned medical transportation company, with eight base locations spread across the region, there are endless shift options. Pennsylvania base locations are in Springfield, Philadelphia (Parkside and Port Richmond), West Chester, Huntingdon Valley and Doylestown. There are also bases in Newark, DE and Elkton, MD. If you go further south, KQT owns Lifestar Response and has Maryland operations in Baltimore, Annapolis Junction and Salisbury as well as Seaford, DE.

Great income potential. KQT offers EMT rates starting at $20/hour. There are also optional “power shifts” where you are paid an incentivized rate during the busiest hours of the day. This gives EMTs the opportunity to earn around $30/hour or more. EMTs working power shifts while in overtime can earn over $40/hour. This is an enhanced pay format that other ambulance companies don’t offer.

These are the highest EMT pay rates in the industry!

Opens the door to new career possibilities. Being an EMT can be a terrific starting point for your medical career. KQT also employs Paramedics and Nurses. Many EMTs go onto careers as hospital techs, physical therapists, physicians, surgeons, etc.

It all adds up to a solid opportunity where you can go from knowing nothing about working on an ambulance to becoming nationally certified as an EMT and having a new career — with all of your certification and training sponsored by KQT.

It’s really a compelling opportunity in a field that needs you, and for a company that sincerely wants to be not just your employer, but also your family.
